Please read these terms carefully before booking a session or placing an order with Memoir Studios. By proceeding, you agree to the terms set out below.

To confirm and reserve your portrait session with Memoir Studios, we kindly request a fully refundable holding deposit of $150. This deposit policy applies to all portrait sessions.
Your holding deposit will be promptly refunded in full unless any of the following conditions apply:
Cancellations with more than 72 hours' notice
If you cancel your booking more than 72 hours before your session date, your $150 holding deposit will be refunded in full.
We appreciate your understanding and co-operation in adhering to our deposit and booking policies — they allow us to protect the time of our photographers and offer the best possible experience to every client.
Your complimentary Memoir Studios experience is designed to be relaxed, personal, and truly exceptional. It includes the following:
Total retail value of this experience: $300. This is included in your complimentary experience at no cost to you.
There is no obligation to purchase any additional images.
Should you wish to acquire more images, they are available at the designated retail price. We offer a range of artwork sizes and customisable image packages to suit your needs and preferences.
If you choose to purchase additional images rather than receive the complimentary printed artwork, the $350 value from your complimentary print will be credited towards any purchased images or packages.
Session size
Each experience is designed for sessions of up to 10 participants. Additional participants may be subject to an additional fee. This experience is valid for complete family groups only — we are unable to accommodate partial family groups to avoid any disappointment.
This experience cannot be combined with any other offer, redeemed for cash, or used in any way other than described above. Only one complimentary experience may be redeemed per family per year. Sessions are non-transferable and can only be used by the person to whom they are registered — they cannot be sold or given to another family member, friend, or individual.

We strive to deliver exceptional quality and service throughout every step of the process. These terms help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience from your session through to delivery.
At Memoir Studios, we stand behind the quality of everything we produce. If your order arrives damaged and cannot be used for its intended purpose, we will promptly replace the item free of charge.
Lifetime Warranty against product quality & workmanship. Our warranty covers the quality and craftsmanship of every product we produce. Should any item develop a fault due to materials or workmanship at any point after your purchase, we will replace it free of charge — no questions asked.
Please note that the production period for all replacements is approximately 8 weeks, as we apply the same rigorous care and craftsmanship to every replacement as we do to the original order.
Our commitment to your satisfaction extends well beyond the moment of purchase. These are images of your life — and we intend for them to last as long as it does.
At Memoir Studios, every image is crafted as a custom bespoke order, made exclusively for you. Under Australian Consumer Law, we operate with no cooling-off period and a no-refund policy.
We nonetheless value your complete satisfaction, which is why we offer a 24-hour amendment period. Within 24 hours of placing your order, you may contact us in writing to request an amendment. An amendment allows you to change the contents of your order for any other products of equal or greater value to your original order.

Contact us in writing within 24 hours of placing your order at memoir@memoirstudios.com.au. After this 24-hour window, orders cannot be further altered or amended.

We understand that investing in fine art portraiture is meaningful, and we want to make it as accessible as possible. Our Memoir Studios Layby allows you to spread the cost of your artwork across a 12-week period, completely interest-free.

You may choose to make instalments weekly or fortnightly — whichever suits you best. To authorise the layby, simply sign the sale invoice.
How payments work
On each scheduled payment date, we will issue an invoice to you with an embedded payment link. You may settle the invoice using your preferred payment method — we do not automatically debit your account. Instalments continue as per the payment schedule set out in your sales invoice until the full balance is paid.
You are welcome to make additional payments or pay out your plan in full at any point.
If a scheduled payment is not received, we will issue a reminder and allow a further 14 days for the payment to be made. If the balance remains outstanding after this period, we will issue a formal notice providing a final 14-day window to rectify the payment. Failure to update your account within this period may result in the overdue balance being referred to a debt collection process, with associated fees at your cost.
If the Layby is cancelled, any money paid is non-refundable.
Once 100% of your invoice total has been received, any physical artwork products will be shipped to you and any digital images will be delivered via a secure download link.
All Memoir Studios gift vouchers are valid for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase.
Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another individual.
